stars pouring out of my mouth and a dark sky enveloping the legs I needed to keep me afloat while tapping my boundless feet to every strike in your lyric
your music took directions in my body down vessels I never felt, leaving a trail of glimmering glass to lead me back if I were so daring as to turn around
I couldn?t capture the way you felt
couldn?t blemish your existence and make it ugly
could only see instead that there are worlds to separate the moon from our sky and maybe the stars flying from my eyes and lips and dipping my hips are not guiding your moonlight to me
but I saw you there above my legs singing songs that made it easy to tear off this masked version of me and expose what lies less shallow than smiles
